There is a phrase in biology: "Adapt or Die." It’s dramatic, it’s primal, and it evokes images of predators chasing prey across the savannah.

In business, we have a softer, slower version of this. It’s not a lion chasing a gazelle. It’s a slow leak in a tire. It’s the "death by a thousand cuts." It is the phenomenon of Evaporation.

Evaporation is what happens when your revenue looks healthy on paper, but your bank account feels empty. It’s what happens when your team is working late every night, yet you’re missing deadlines. It’s the invisible friction that turns a $100 billable hour into $60 of actual profit.

And the culprit, nine times out of ten, is Manual Data Entry.

We tend to think of data entry as a "necessary evil"—a low-level task that just has to get done. We hire juniors, interns, or admins to handle it. We treat it as a fixed cost of doing business.
